"What are you going to do with all that money?"
Ever heard that question asked of the winner of a large amount of money?
You'll often hear it asked of contestants on TV gameshows.
Those shows where the major prize is a pile of money so high you couldn't jump over it.
Here's the answer we often hear...
"I don't know."
You - don't - know?!
What the heck are you doing taking up space on the TV show if you don't already have the slightest clue as to how you might use the big money if you won?
If I were asked - I'd pull from my jacket a list handwritten onto a 500 sheet roll of toilet tissue and begin reading. Slowly. Deliberately. That's how prepared I was for when winning the jackpot.
Hey! Notice that? I said, "was" - as in past tense.
Fast forward with me.
And here it is. I am THAT big winner! I won the multi-million dollar Lotto jackpot.
Holy mother of blueberry cheesecake! All those zeros. All that money. All that spending and sharing to do!
How did I win the big jackpot?
I followed the teachings of 20th century mystic, Neville Goddard (you can look him up - in fact I recommend you do).
βThe first step in changing the future is Desire, that is, define your objective β know definitely what you want.β β Neville Goddard
Nev. Mate. I desire to win the big pile of moolah!
Neville Goddard's Steps to a Wish Fulfilled -
1. Know your desire (Me: 'money is like dried leaves, and I own the forest')
2. What does it look like when imagined? (Me: 'it looks like I'm living as Richie Rich')
3. Feel it real (Me: 'Serenity. Howβs the serenity?!β)
4. Live FROM the feeling of the wish fulfilled: (Me: "Honey, remember those days years ago when we had to scrape to pay the bills - and then had no choice but to eat instant noodles three days in a row? We can laugh about it now!")
See Step #4? Read that one again. It's important...
"Live FROM the feeling of the wish fulfilled"
"Can you give reality to the imagined? If you do, a bridge of incident will appear in your world..." - Neville Goddard
And from Neville's 1968 lecture, Live In The End ...
"Ask no oneβs permission. You donβt need any oneβs permission; you only need your own decision. What do I want? Now, what would it be like if it were true? Now catch the mood, and try to give that mood all the sensory vividness of reality β all the tones of reality, and then sleep in it just as though it were true. And then await the inevitable."
And that's how I "won" the Lotto jackpot. I slept and lived as though it were true - and awaited the inevitable.
Oh, what's that you ask? The winning draw? The ticket? The numbers? The money? Have I got the money yet?
No. Not in the tangible sense that I can go to the bank and withdraw $1,000,000 today. But that's a mere formality. It's a 'bridge of incident' waiting to be built. But in my mind. In my heart. In my whole being...
... I am already the Lotto jackpot winner.
Huge point there. Living from the feeling of BEING the person who is the Lotto jackpot winner.
This important point applies to the imagining of any desired outcome:
Improved wellbeing (living FROM the feeling of BEING well)
Loving relationships (living FROM the feeling of BEING the person in loving relationships)
Increased finances (living FROM the feeling of BEING the person with increased finances)
Advanced career (living FROM the feeling of BEING the person with an advancing career)
Are you thinking, "Sounds like the old, 'act as if' to me!"
Nope. Act as if is exactly that. Acting. Pretending. Lying to one's self.
No. This is, 'feel it real'.
There's nothing false about a true feeling.
I can't fake my feelings any more than you can.
Actually, this is one reason why 'mirror work' affirmations fall flat for most people. Because they parrot words at their reflection - without any sense of genuine belief or feeling involved. If you've ever done affirmations at the mirror - "I am now 40 pounds lighter" - you know as I do how it feels like self deception. Itβs more like we walk away from the mirror thinking, βWho am I kidding?β
Me. You. A Lotto jackpot winner? Do try it. Or for whatever your desire may be. What have you got to lose? If nothing else - itβs a bit of fun. Canβt hurt. Might help.
